The Color Of Alex Katz's Figure Painting

"Color" is the most perceptual external language in the art of painting.When the audience looks at the works,color is the visual factor that can most directly arouse the aesthetic emotion."Color" can not only reproduce the reality of the objective world,but also express the reality of the subjective world.Alex Katz is an artist in the twentieth Century.His composition is unique.His color is brilliant,affecting a large number of young artists.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the works of Katz and other masters of art to explain the form structure and artistic language of Katz's paintings.This paper introduces the features of composition,shape,color and stroke in the paintings of Katz.This paper is divided into three parts: the first part introduces the general situation of art painter Katz;The second part is the main chapter of this article.By comparing the works of Katz and the master of the former generation,we describe some inheritance and innovation in Katz's painting.By comparing the works of Katz and the contemporary pop art masters of the same age,to explain the similarities and differences between them and the artistic features of Katz.The last part is a summary of the elements of Katz's artistic works.The conclusion gives a brief account of Katz's influence on my personal creation.
