Comparison Between Feng Xuefeng And Zhou Yang's Realistic Theory Of Literature And Art In The 1930s And 1940s

In the 20th century Chinese society was in a period of drastic change.Feng Xuefeng and Zhou Yang both deeply felt the deep national crisis and the violent class oppression.They joined the ranks of the Communist Party with the sense of responsibility and mission of the times and the positive yearning for the revolution.How to help the proletarian revolutionary parties seize state power was their main concern.However,the two had great differences in their knowledge background,life experience and even identity.Even in the same left-wing camp hold the same respected realism theory,they theories can not be completely identical.Feng Xuefeng strived to balance the dual identities of revolutionaries and artists and sought a balance between art and politics when art serves the political revolution without losing its own characteristics.Although he also possessed two posts,Zhou Yang preferred a professional literary leader who is dedicated to sharpening the literary weapons and making them more sharp and capable of serving the class struggle and serving the party's political tasks in various periods.Through comparative study,this thesis focuses on realistic literary theory and shows how the two confront the difficult situation of facing the revolution and construction in the waves of times.I also hope that through the development of the two literary theories,I will sketch the Chinese revolution The Development of Literature.This article is divided into the following sections:The first chapter is based on the tool of literature and art.First of all,through the simple discussion of the reasons for the formation of the theory of literary and artistic tools,it leads to the analysis of the literary and artistic criticism of the two how to emphasize the political utility of literature and art.Secondly,based on their different definitions of politics this paper analyzes their different understandings on the dialectical relationship between literature and art and politics.The second chapter focuses on the unity and disagreement between Feng Xuefeng and Zhou Yang on the understanding of the relationship between literature and art and life.Literary origin from life is the commonality of the two theories.However,from the actual creation process,Feng Xuefeng and Zhou Yang guided the writer how to use literature and art to reflect the real life from the perspective of objective truth theory,writer's subjectivity and typical characters.The third chapter focuses on the literary and art popularization movement vigorously promoted by Feng Xuefeng and Zhou Yang,elaborates the two practical directions of the popularization of works and the proletarian of writers,as well as discusses the problem of popularization and promotion,praise and exposure extending from literary popularization.
