The study of unconscious thought has broken the traditional concept of“ thinking hard and have good results ”,which has become one of the hot issues in the field of social cognition.Studies have shown that the unconscious thought is not only beneficial to complex decision problem, and help to solve the problem of creativity,is advantageous to the pageant,to persuade, and to predict the football match as a result, the segmentation information integration, etc.,in many areas shows the advantage of the unconscious thought effects. On this basis,Dijksterhuis and Nordgren proposed the Theory of Unconscious Thought. One of the core principles of the Theory of Unconscious Thinking is the top-down and bottom-up processing principles. This principle holds that due to the limitation of processing capacity, conscious thought is influenced by the result expectation and schema in processing information, which is a top-down processing process. And the unconscious thought due to relatively large processing capacity,it is on the basis of the relationship between the input information, will input information catalogued, slowly, and accordingly make relatively objective judgment,is a bottom-up process. However, existing researches mainly involve the bottom-up processing based on the similarity of surface relations, and lack of research based on deep relationship. Therefore, this research adopts the unconscious thought classical experimental paradigm,on the basis of repeated Unconscious Thought Effects,in analogy to the story as experiment material, examines the unconscious thought will be based on the deep relationship between similar bottom-up processing. This study includes three experiments.Experiment 1 repeated the classic experimental results of the unconscious thought.Experiment 2 and experiment 3further examined whether unconscious thought can be processed from bottom to bottom based on deep relationship. In experiment 2,the first to give participantspresents a baseline story and two controlled stories, one of the controlled stories similar to baseline story surface relationship, and the other controlled story similar to deep relations between baseline story. The subjects were then assigned to the conscious thought group and the unconscious thought group. The conscious thought group allowed the subjects to think for five minutes, while the unconscious thought group allowed the subjects to do a 5-minute 2-back task. The results showed that the proportion of control stories that were similar to those of the baseline story was higher than that of the conscious thought group.Experiment 3 changed the story material and joined the immediate decision group. The results showed that the unconscious thought group was more likely to choose a controlled story similar to that of the baseline story than the conscious thought group and the immediate decision group. The above experimental results show that the unconscious thought can find deep relationship similarity and support the bottom-up processing of the unconscious thought.
