A Study On Gao Ping’s Piano Work Valley Echoes

Professor Gao Ping,a preeminent pianist,is reputed as the one of the sixth-generation composers in China.His composition Valley Echoes represents the work of Chinese classic piano duet.The thesis does the research on Valley Echoes from different points of view,which consists of four parts.On part one,Gao Ping’s compositions will be reclassified and summarized by the features.On part two,per the construction analysis method,Valley Echoes will be interpreted by structural form and configurational form respectively.On part three,the skills and situation of Valley Echoes will be figured out when performing,as well as compared with different playing versions.On part four,based on Valley Echoes,it is important to do the theoretical research surrounding by art and teaching thinking.The thesis aims to interpret Valley Echoes thoroughly and deeply.Meanwhile,it has theoretical value of China modern piano compositions’ playing and teaching.
