The Study Of Wang Meng-ou's Early Aesthetic Thought

As one of the most important aestheticians in China,Wang Meng-ou was praised by Taiwanese scholars as Zhu Guangqian.Due to historical and political reasons,the study of Wang Meng-ou in mainland China has been almost blank.So this article will base on Wang Meng-ou's book literary aesthetics,tries to explain Wang Meng-ou's aesthetic system,at the same time we will try to solve some problems on the aesthetic thoughts of Wang Meng-ou.Wang Meng-ou early studied in Europe and the United States,his aesthetic system was based on Kant's aesthetics and as the main body frame of his,based on the detailed analysis of "rationalism" and "empiricism”basis,he put forward the "beauty is in the relationship between subject and object" argument,but different from Zhu Guang-qian had strong idealism color,Wang Meng-ou was trapped in the Chinese traditional idea of "nature and humanity" and Kantian idealism thoughts and drifted about all the time,it also constituted the most distinctive feature of WangMeng-ou's esthetics thought.In addition,Wang Meng-ou also absorbed the latest achievements of American and European scholars,and deepened and refined Kant's aesthetic framework.He also put the study of Western Aesthetics in his study and Chinese traditional "artistic conception" were combined to Chinese aesthetic resources demonstration of Western ideas,and Kant put forward the two aesthetic categories for the expansion of "beautiful","noble" and "tragic" and "funny".At the same time,this article will discuss two unsolved problems in Wang Meng-ou's aesthetic thought:first,why does Wang Meng-ou's aesthetic thought appear so much self contradiction?Two is how the question of "virtual paradox" put forward by Wang Meng-ou should be explained?The first problem is that we absorbed the research achievements of Western Aesthetics in recent years,trying to use Polanyi's theory of body and mind to make a more reasonable explanation for this problem.In the second issue,we will summarize the standpoint of Zhu Guangqian and Zong Baihua's aesthetic thoughts,and reveal the reason why Wang Meng-ou's aesthetic thoughts are contradictory.
