A Study Of Subversive Theme On American Black Female Fictions In The 20^thCentury

In traditional American literature,black female had low social status and were on the edge literary creation.20th century is regarded as the golden age.With the feminist movement,the first black female who had higher education appear on the stage of American literature.The main force of African-American literature was formed and the black female fictions which played an irreplaceable role in American female fictions creation were also prominent.There are more than 20 American black female novelists and 80 fictions in the 20th century,which leads American literature.Nowadays,in the literary world of black female fictions,western and eastern scholars are more concerned with the analysis of classic fictions of black female novelists in the 20th century with a certain theory and the exploration of its main themes.They seldom grasp the subversive theme on American black female fictions in the 20th century as a whole with the theory of thematology and it lacks integrity and innovation.Therefore,this thesis intends to integrate the themes on typical American black female fictions in the 20tth century and explore their subversion on traditional black female fictions.It also focuses on the research of subversive theme on black female fictions,shows the expression of subversive themes on American black female fictions in the 20th century and reveals its internal causes to arose more attention and reflection.This thesis uses thematology theory to explore the expression of three subversive themes on black female image,black female maternity and black female literary writing.Firstly,this thesis focuses on subversive theme on black female image and reveals the reflection and construction of black female image deeply.It shows new images of black female in modern era.The new image of sagacious black female and struggling black female are the subversive theme on traditional black female image.Secondly,this thesis expresses the subversive theme on black female maternity.The emancipation of black motherhood becomes the first task in modern area and its ultimate aim is to discover humanistic spirit of black motherhood.The humanistic spirit of mother of culture and mother of love are the subversion of traditional mainstream social life of white people.Lastly,it shows the subversive research of black female literary writing.Black female novelists subvert traditional writing paradigm of white writers,traditional writing genre and narrative style and create their own literary writing style.Through the research of subversive theme on these three aspects,it is found that American black female novelists subvert traditional writing paradigm and show fictional themes which are different from mainstream literature.The innovation of this thesis is to organize and integrate outstanding black female novelists and their works in the 20th century,which has a certain integrity.This thesis integrates creative themes on black female fictions and studies the expression of subversive theme on black female fictions in modern era.It enriches domestic and foreign research scopes,which is more conducive to understand profound connotation of black female fictions and provide a new research perspective and direction for later scholars to study American black female fictions in tile 20th century.
