The Research On Urban Culture Development In Contemporary China

As China's urbanization continues to advance,urban culture has played a more prominent role to cities' economic,political,and social development.Urban culture,as a special form of labor,contains the essential nature of human beings,and reflects the unification of the objective world and the subjective world of urban subject transformation.The urban society of Contemporary China is a cultural society with universal differences and multiple choices in aspects of economic interests,political positions,and value choices.The development of urban culture contains unsolved problems: contradiction of urban culture value orientation,urban culture development is lagging behind,and lack in subjectivity.Therefore,the development of urban culture of Contemporary China must master the ideological leadership of Marxism as an advanced urban culture,constantly promote the Sinicization,modernization,and popularization of Marxism urban culture ideas,and thus integrate the theoretical content of socialist core values with development of urban culture in practice.Faced with the objective existence and historical inevitability of the development of diverse urban cultures,the dialectical relationship between urban cultural inheritance and innovation and development should be handled well to achieve the critical innovation and development of individual urban culture.Full guidance should be offered in the process of development of urban society to promote coordination between developments of urban culture and urban economy,politics,and society.Furthermore,the development of urban culture of Contemporary China should emphasise the main status and role of people,creating a pattern of urban culture development of “co-building,co-governance,and sharing” on the basis of “people-oriented”,to highlight the “co-building” as the mainstay of urban culture,meet “co-governance” as main needs of urban culture,and promote “sharing” as free and comprehensive development of urban culture.
