An Analysis Of The Image Of The Fool In The View Of Archetypal Criticism

The image of fools is a unique literary phenomenon in Chinese and foreign literature.The fool is the name of a kind of person,and their thinking logic,language expression,and the way of doing things are different from those of the ordinary people,so Chinese and foreign writers pay attention to them.The image of fools in Chinese and Western literature provides us with direct research on the image of fools,and archetypal criticism provides a unique perspective for us to analyze and study the image of fools.This paper consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction,focusing on three kinds of research achievements on the image of fools in the form of paper in China: one is the holistic consideration of the fool's problem in the new period,and the two is a case analysis of the image of the fool in the writer's works.The image of the fool is studied in several works;the three is the comparative study,which is to compare and analyze the image features of the two characters in the images of the fool.The second part focuses on the analysis of the relationship between the archetype and the image of the fools.From the multiple meanings of the fools,the paper analyzes the original meaning of the image category of the fools in the literary works and the image of the three types of fools,and holds that the first kind of mental incomplete fools are similar to the shadow archetype,and the second kinds of smart people in the outer clothes of the fools are roughly corresponding to the people.The third kinds of wise men who seem like slow-witted are similar to those of the wise.The third part focuses on the analysis of the external and internal characteristics of the fools,which are different from those of the ordinary people.In combination with the image of the fools in the specific literary works,the common characteristics of the fools' images are summed up as being very human and irrational,with the perception of the wise,and the penetrating nature of the social problems.The fourth part analyzes the significance of the image building of the fool from the aspects of writer's personal progress,social progress and literary development.The full text examines and explores the image of the fool in the comparison and reference of Chinese and Western culture,the inheritance and innovation of traditional and modern,and finds that the common points in their creative background and creative motivation are to question the excessive reason,reflect on the modern civilization,the expression of the inner needs of theauthor,and the ideal society.Its unique significance and value lies in the enlightenment to the reconstruction of the existing value system,the reflection on the rational society and the enlightening meaning of the fool culture represented by great wisdom,and then to realize the purpose of grasping the literary phenomenon as a whole.
