The Analysis Of Foucault's Modern Power

This article is intend to critically study the analysis of Foucault's modern power.This article emphasizes a multidimensional perspective on Foucault's analysis of modern power.It is through this multidimensional perspective that we can see that modern power shows different characteristics from the previous power form that relies on power and violence to rule: Modern power is such a kind of control form that integrates individualization techniques and totalization procedures.It not only shows rationality and technical appearance,but also shows concealment,standardization,and high efficiency.This article believes when Foucault encounter the problem of political double bind in his later years,Foucault's resistance to power is not “where there is power,there is resistance” which is a very empty and slogan-like theoretical expression,but to actively develop a way to get rid of power domination.the way out of domination of power is the “Aesthetics of Existence ”with “the care of self” as its core.However,the way of living cannot effectively relieve the burden imposed by the modern society's power mechanism.
