In the medieval Europe,the church was more authoritative than other countries’.Under the leadership of the church,the Middle Ages seemed to have passed through a dark era,and the reality is not the case.The Crusades,under the leadership of the church,which is almost destructive communication form for Europe and Arabia.In Europe,however,the Holy Cross has produced the phenomenon of the conclusion of the covenant.At the same time,the Crusade is also one of the elements of East-West communication.For the Arabia region,the Middle Ages are the era of prosperity development.After the period of four caliphs,and through the promotion of the Umayyad Caliphate,that reached its peak in the period of the Abbasid Dynasty.Europe and Arab countries also intermingled their nations and cultures with the Crusades,and the Arab culture exerted a profound influence on European social system and music culture.For Europe,the music culture of medieval Arabia provided more templates for the development of music in Europe.Through the Arab region,Europe has absorbed the traditional music culture of Arab countries,and has inherited a large number of music theoretical knowledge from Greece and Rome as an intermediary.As a result of this,the development of European music is like standing on a giant’s shoulder and prosperity.This article aims to illustrate the background of the medieval European and Arab society,discuss the development of European and Arab music in this time,and analysis the influence of the Arab music to the European music,finally,to analyze the dialectical relationship between war and music.By discussing the social background of Middle Ages Europe and Arab region and probing into the development of European and Arab music in this period,this paper analyzes the influence of Arab music on European music and the dialectical relationship between the breaking down of war,public harmony and music after the war.The first part explains the historical background of this article by discussing the development of medieval Europe and Arab society and the process of Crusade.The second part mainly introduces the development of music of the Middle Ages Europe in the early and middle period and the period of "New Art".The third part discusses the development of Arab music while drawing on the argument of Mr.Fama and Ms.Schlesinger on the relationship between Arab music and European music,and the influence of Arabic Music on European Musical Instruments,notation,scale and Multi-part Music and the Development of European Music under Modern Orientalism.The fourth part mainly discusses the music development in the Arab region and Europe after the end of Crusades;The fifth part introspects the inadequacies of this article and the determination of the future research plan for this issue.
