The Dunhuang Cave mural art forms traditional Chinese painting features,combined with the expression of exotic arts,to form a form of Buddhist art expression with Chinese national characteristics.Dunhuang murals have exhibited a variety of painting art themes in various dynasties.In particular,Huagai has been depicted in each period.Therefore,the canopy pattern is an integral part of Dunhuang murals.This paper mainly studies the canopy patterns in the Dunhuang Caves of the Tang Dynasty.Through a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the canopy images of the Dunhuang murals in the Tang Dynasty,this paper further explores the reasons for the development and spread of the Chinese cap art in the Tang Dynasty.First of all,we will make a comprehensive analysis of the origin of the canopy pattern,and then compare the different expressions of the Chinese cap pattern at the Mogao Grottoes in the Tang Dynasty according to different disciplines,and sort out the categories of the Mogao Grottoes.The pattern of expression and style evolution,and finally from the pattern angle contained in the canopy pattern more comprehensive analysis of the Tang Dynasty Mogao Grottoes in the mural pattern.Through studying the development and evolution of the Canopy decorative art in the Dunhuang frescoes of the Tang Dynasty,it enriched the types of Dunhuang decorative patterns and enabled us to deeply understand the irreplaceable important role of Canopy in the Dunhuang frescoes of the Tang Dynasty,and also for the pattern art.Creation provides more realistic reference value and inspiration.
