This paper does an empirical research of the influence of learning community on the learning effects of English class in primary school.The purpose of this experiment is to investigate the influences of lealning community on students' learning activity and learning effects.At present,the research on learning ccommunity mainly focuses on how to construct the learning community effectively and how to operate it in learning process.However,there are few research on the effects of students'learning enthusiasm and learning effects.The motivation of English learning and the effects of learning have a profound impact on learners'confidence in learning English.From the research we can figure out that the learning community has a great effect on students' English learning interest,their oral English and English test grades.If we play the role of learning community actively and change the traditional teaching method,we can effectively improve the students' interest in learning,improve students' oral English ability and English test grade.This paper investigates the following problems:(1)Based on the student-based theory and cooperation learning theory,what role does learning community play in primary school students' interest in English learning,their learning habits and learning confidence?(2)What are the influences on primary school students' oral English output and English achievement by applying learning community?The empirical research takes two classes of Mingde Lugu Primary school as the experimental object,and carries out a teaching experiment.In the experimental class we set up learning community,apply the learning community actively and give learning tasks in English classes.While in the control class,we use the traditional teaching method.In the experiment,we use the way of questionnaire survey,classroom observation and test data.Two English tests are conducted in the two classes in this semester,and the test scores are collected for further study.This study found that students in the experimental class have a higher interest in English learning,and their learning confidence and learning habits have improved obviously.In addition,the students' oral English ability and English achievement in the experimental class are both raised.However,the change of the students in the control class is not obvious in the above aspects.The experimental results show that learning community can effectively improve students' learning initiative and learning effect.
