A Cognitive Study Of Internet Xieyinci In Chinese From The Perspective Of Autonomy-Dependency Analysis Framework

Internet xieyinci in Chinese refers to that both the base expression and its corresponding words are made up in Chinese.The pronunciation of Internet xieyinci in Chinese is the same as or similar to the normal words used in people's daily life,but different in its forms.On the basis of Xu Shenghuan's Autonomy-Dependency Analysis Framework,this thesis conducts a systematical and comprehensive research on the generation and interpretation processes of Internet xieyinci in Chinese from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.In terms of the meaning relations between the Internet xieyinci in Chinese and the corresponding normal words,Internet xieyinci in Chinese is divided into two kinds in this thesis.One is conventional-like Internet xieyinci in Chinese which has the same meaning as the normal words,while the other is neo-Intemet xieyinci in Chinese,which has some new meanings based on the corresponding normal words.Based on Autonomy-Dependency Analysis Framework,specific and detailed generation processes of these two kinds are analyzed respectively,and then an unified generation mechanism of Internet xieyinci in Chinese has been put forward.In short,the generation mechanism can be summmarized as:at first,with the guidance of the netizens,intentional attitude,the implicit intentional content functioning as the first autonomy element drives a corresponding normal word,which represents the whole or part of netizens,intentional content and serves as the first dependency element based on the relation of similarity/proximity.Then,the normal word derived in the first process functions as the second autonomy element in the next derivational process.Therefore,with the further guidance of netizens' intentional attitude and the supplement of the rest of netizens' intentional content,the normal word derives Internet xieyinci in Chinese which is the final dependency element based on the pronunciation similarity relation.The interpretation process of Internet xieyinci in Chinese can be viewed as a kind of retrieval process of its corresponding generation process.Therefore,the interpretation process can be summarized as:upon hearing the Internet xieyinci in Chinese,with the comprehension of netizens' intentionality,the audience identifies the corresponding normal word in their mind on account of pronunciation similarity.Then,with the help of the complement of nipping-along and further comprehension of intentionality,the interpretation of final autonomy element can be realized through proximity/similarity relation.In addition,as the audience figure the expressive effects of Internet xieyinci in Chinese out,the full comprehension of it will be achieved.
