On The Artistic Expression Of Damien Chazelle's Sound And Picture

The art of film sound and film image creation has always been the focus of research in the field of film theory.Our initially visionary film concept started to appear difficult to meet the needs of the current audience demand.Therefore,the rationality and artistry of sound and picture in the pre-shooting and post-editing have become the main propositions of modern film theory.Generally speaking,movie viewing experience is not only the feeling and understanding of the picture and sound,but also the feeling of plot development and deep emotion content in the movie.In order to explore and demonstrate the artistic expression of movie sound and picture in film and television works,this essay will discuss the theory of case through the two representative works of Damien Chazelle "Whiplash" and "La La Land" Demonstrate the two perspectives,the movie screen and voice of the artistic expression analysis.First of all,this dissertation takes the two compositions of "Whiplash" and "La La Land" as an example to study the characteristics of their sound and picture performance and to study and elaborate from the perspective of audio-visual.Secondly,through the analysis of the characteristics of the sound and the paintings of "Whiplash" and "La La Land",at the same time,the artistic synergy of sound and picture is summarized,and the following functions are summed up: the aesthetic value of the sound and the picture together to create the film and television works,Voice of the performance of the screen to supplement and enrich the voice can highlight the unique expression of the screen.Finally,I will give a brief account of the situation in the country of Damien Chazelle excellent works of the same type.The purpose of this paper is to interpret the sounds and images of "Whiplash" and "City of Philharmonic",and hope to provide some experience for filmmaking in China's film industry.At the same time,it also hopes to provide reference for the international development of domestic films.
