Research On Ancient Chinese Maritime Culture Of Science And Technology Thought

There is lots of ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought,indwelt in many ancient books,long-standing cultural relics and colorful science and technology activities,which is required to be explored,arranged and deliberated to reveal the glorious contents and enduring modern values.This paper carries out research by the main method of literature analysis and case analysis.What's more,it analyzed and discussed from Chinese ancient shipbuilding technology,nautical chart,sea transportation management system,navigational activities,etc.The thesis is divided into five chapters.The first four chapters according to the historical development process,research the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought foundation,development,peak,decline four historical stages.The fifth chapter explores the ancient Chinese in marine activities in the use of scientific thinking methods.Concretely speaking,chapter one talks about the ancient maritime culture of science and technology thought in Chinese early history,such as the natural actions on the sea during pre-Qin period,the shipbuilding and initiative navigational technology during Spring-Autumn and Warring States period.Chapter two continues to explore the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought taking the shipbuilding,navigational technology and sea transportation management system into consideration.With the feudal society and economic developing,we find the scale and scope of Chinese overseas nautical activities are gradually expanding.Troops have hundreds of warships in Han dynasty.The Japanese sea route has been opened in Tang and Song dynasty.Sea transportation management is becoming more and more institutionalized.Chapter three discusses the peak time of the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought,that is the Yuan and Ming dynasty.Yuan dynasty has a large scope in territory,so does the navigation scope.The achievements made by Zheng He's voyages in early Ming dynasty are well known to all over the world.Zheng He's Treasure Ships and Nautical Charts including rich sailing directions and normalized sea transportation management is the symbol of the peak of the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought.Chapter four researches the reason and its expression on the decline of the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought.Seafaring prohibition policy has a great effect on the overseas trade and nautical practice activity in the Ming and Qing dynasty,which results in a decline on the Chinese traditional sea shipbuilding industry.At the same time,there has been put a stop on the ancient harbors in our city Guangzhou,Mingzhou,Quanzhou and so on.Chapter five analyzes ancient Chinese how to use scientific thinking methods in their shipbuilding and navigation activities.There are three main scientific thinking methods which are the observation method,the experimental method,the logical thinking method,etc.This paper summarizes the development process of the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought,combining with the ancient codes and records of Chinese traditional shipbuilding and nautical activities,to find the essence of the ancient Chinese maritime culture of science and technology thought,which is the important traditional cultural resources.It can throw theoretical support and practical guidance to China's capacity for exploiting marine resources,developing the marine economy,protecting the marine ecological environment and building China into a maritime power.
