.Compared with the early illustrations of Western religious books, modern Western illustrations mostly consist of narrative styles and structures that are subordinated to the conversion of textual content to the spirit of writing.Experiments have resulted in a number of new illustrations.Rodin and Matisse have created series of illustrations for Baudelaire's poem “The Flower of Evil.” Both of them did not choose to obey the “image” of the text, but proposed the concept of“ vision partner ” and tried to use the image itself. The beauty and poetry collocations present an anti-traditional anti-reason,striving to express non-traditional beauty starting from self-feeling.From this revolutionary transformation, one can peek into the overall atmosphere and creative ideas of19th-century illustrations. At the same time, this non-narrative image and creative ideas have a close connection with the artistic trend of thought and technological level at that time. This article attempts to analyze the above materials as a whole and explore the essence and essence of illustration creation, and embody it in its own creative practice.
