Harold Pinter is a great dramatist in the 20 th century.His drama not only conveys profound social life implication and ideological connotation,but also has a unique style.It integrates traditional realism with absurdism and other modernist theatrical techniques and creates a A new kind of dramatic form---absurd realistic drama,formed a unique "pint style" style.His play "Room","Home" and "The Land of No People" were widely spread on the theater stage in various countries.In 2005,Pinter won the Nobel Prize for Literature.His play has attracted more extensive attention and discussion.In the reading of Pinter dramas,the author found that the male image in the play is different from the character image formed in traditional drama,and that many appearances of morbid or marginal people made a deep impression on me.In order to explore the predicament of men in the Pinter drama,the author discusses it as a research object.This thesis is divided into five parts.The introductory part includes the reasons for the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the innovations,the basic theories involved,the relevant research methods,and a review of the research related to the plight of survival in the Pinter drama.The main composition of the thesis is divided into three parts.The first part summarizes the uniqueness of the male image in the Pinter feature drama by comparing it with the horizontal and vertical aspects of the male figure written by other playwrights.In the second part,the author analyzes and analyzes several different types of males' existential dilemmas in special dramas.The third part discusses the struggling and breaking-out of the male protagonist in Pinter drama.Based on the analysis of the main part,the conclusion summarizes the unique artistic value and social realistic significance of researching the plight of men in the Pinter drama production.
