This paper is a report on the translation of the fifth chapter of China's Presence in the Middle East:The Implications of the One Belt,One Road Initiative,which is mainly about how Sino-Saudi ties evolve in the 21st century and the influence of other countries in the Middle East and America on this bilateral tie.As for the main difficulties and key points of this project,the author has analyzed them and then addressed them under the guidance of skopostheorie,which enables more Chinese people better know what Sino-Saudi ties have gone through and how Sino-Saudi ties will evolve.Hopefully,this project can also further enrich the research on the translation of the informative text and implement the relevant theory.The four standards honored by skopostheorie are fully applied during the whole course of project implementation.This report consists of four chapters,among which the first chapter sheds light on the background,significance and structure of this project,the second chapter briefs on the analysis of the source text and theoretic framework underpinning this project,the third chapter focuses on the translation difficulties and respective solutions and the fifth chapter arrives a conclusion for this project,reflection also included.
