Research On The Yue Fei's Character Shaping And Singing Of Huang Anlun's Opera Yue Fei

Yue Fei,created by Huang Anlun,is a domestic patriotic opera of Wagner opera style.It was originally produced by Huang Anlun during his graduate study at Yale University in the United States in 1980.This opera has undergone three decades and through the joint efforts of Huang Anlun and Xu Qingdong,a concert version of Yue Fei was finally put on the stage in Xiamen in 2013 under the baton of Zheng Xiaoying.Zheng Xiaoying had been anxious to create a truly original opera Yue Fei.By the joint efforts of Huang Anlun,Zheng Xiaoying,Ma Mei and Xu Changjun,the opera Yue Fei was successfully approved to be 2014 Art Project with National Fund and the Tianjin University Innovation Team Training Project during the Twelfth Five-year Plan,because of which funding problems are solved.Under this background,a large-scale original opera Yue Fei by the Tianjin Conservatory of Music was successfully released and was performed for more than 20 times in Tianjin Grand Theater,Taiwan,and National Center for the Performing Center in 2015 and 2016.This is a rare phenomenon.On the basis of understanding the life experiences of composers and the background of opera creation,in this dissertation the author analyzes in details the character shaping and singing of the original opera Yue Fei,and profoundly analyzes Yue Fei's personalities and feelings,so as to better understand the related works in Yue Fei and take a more accurate grasp of the inner feeling changes of Yue Fei and better perform the role.It is hoped that the research on opera Yue Fei can provide learners of vocal music with reference of better performance.
