The forceful and unrestrained literary style of“Zhuangzi” has always been praised for the people, but the reason why Zhuangzi’s style of the article formed and whether Zhuangzi has literary consciousness is still a topic rarely discussed. This article attempts to explore the dilemma faced by Zhuangzi in conveying his philosophical thoughts from the perspective of the author’s expression, thus revealing the underlying causes of the formation of his style. At the same time, based on the literary practice of Zhuangzi,I put forward my own views on the "self-consciousness of literature in Wei and Jin Dynasty."This article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter,Laozi’s revelation to Zhuangzi.Lao Tzu has already understood that "Tao" has unspeakable characteristics. Therefore, before the "Tao",we must first attach a name to this kind of thinking,so that people’s attention has a focal point.Second, the intangible“way”is transformed into tangible things that can be understood and accepted by the world.Again, the words to be answered are discussed first from the opposite side, and they are thought-provoking in sharp contrast. In the end,the similarities and differences between the old and the new Zhuangzi determined that Zhuangzi has both reference and development for Lao Tzu.The second chapter,Zhuangzi’s expression difficulties.Zhuangzi has a profound reflection on the language expression function.First of all, language can only express limited, concrete things, like the "Tao",which has no form, and the highest ontology of the universe that transcends time and space.Language is powerless.Second,"being enlightened" constitutes an intangible barrier to ideology.Again, using "useless" to avoid outside interference and injury,to "freedom" to seek the liberation of the individual’s mind, this is only Zhuangzi’s personal value choice.Chapter 3,Zhuangzi’s way of speaking.Zhuangzi has its unique language form.Fables and tautology are remarks that use the dictates of others to say “Tao”;rumors are statements that directly state Zhuangzi’s thoughts. In addition,Zhuangzi also has his own method of cracking against the difficulties of expression.First, the remedy of negative remarks is not completely helpless. The so-called negative rhetoric means that instead of racking their brains to explain what "Taoism" is,it is better to take those elements that are not "Tao" to loosen up,so as to show the essence of "Tao".Second,to break the world’s "wholeheartedness" with the idea of "Quality." All thingsare equal and one is dead.Only by breaking this intangible barrier erected in people’s hearts, can Zhuangzi’s ideological expression take root and bloom everywhere.Third, using anti-evidence methods to eliminate the "big and useless" defects.Chuang Tzu drew on Lao Tzu’s expressions of “recognizing what is being said,” and inspiring deep thoughts.Chapter IV,Zhuangzi’s literary consciousness.First, according to the needs of the ideological expression Zhuangzi elaborately designed various strange and bizarre life images.Second, through the use of various rhetorical devices,Zhuangzi does his best to tap into the potential of language.Third, the dispersive and inexorable structural form shows that Zhuangzi already had a stilted structural consciousness when he elaborated his philosophical thoughts. It can be said that the unique artistic style of Zhuangzi’s proses is the embodiment of Zhuangzi’s "literary self-consciousness."...
