Joseph Conrad is one of the most important British novelists at the turn of the year between nineteenth Century and twentieth Century.According to the theme,"political Trilogy" is Conrad's three important novels.Its shows the multiple themes of contradiction and complexity,and reflects a series of moral problems in the ethical society at that time,which makes profound significance on the current times.As an important method of criticism and research perspective,Literary Ethics,interprets literary works from a moral point of view,and studies the relationship between writers and literary works.In the political trilogy,Conrad launched a series of story plots around Taoism and morality,righteousness and interest,group and himself,forming a rich moral and ethical theme.This paper uses the method of ethical literary criticism,in terms of the ethical background,moral subject and value judgment angles,mining and exploring the "moral and ethical relationship perplexing political Trilogy",and extract the "political Trilogy" is the most significant feature of moral and ethical themes in the further analysis:contradiction.The characteristics and contradiction of the background from Conrad I double character of pluralistic cultural identity and the complex social historical and cultural context,from the author's and reflected in the literary creation:complexity,contradiction of interest and righteous Conrad from the Tao and virtue of contradiction and paradox and the group has the conflict of the three aspects of the contradictions of moral and ethical themes,this thesis analyzes the loneliness and alienation,absurdity of the moral world,presenting material and political aspirations of the interaction and the myth of personal heroism disillusionment,egoism and critique of the "other" identity dilemma of the six themes of contradiction.Above all the analysis,by revealing the ambivalence of Conrad's political trilogy,we can not only discuss the author's value judgement and moral tendency,but also show his strong humanistic solicitude and moral responsibility behind his writing.
