In medieval England,as the ruling class of society,the aristocracy led the value orientation of social spirit.The education of the aristocracy in the middle ages represented the highest level of education in England at that time,and also reflected the characteristics of The Times in the middle ages.During the middle ages,according to the different social roles of noble men and women in the secular life,they accepted different education.As an official cultural reference,the aristocratic spirit of medieval England was inherited through the generation of education.The paper consists of three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction elaborates the reasons for the topic of this paper,and sorts out various historical materials and literatures on the research of education in the middle ages.The main body of the text is divided into three parts.The first chapter mainly discusses the image of British aristocracy in the middle ages.Due to the different social roles of the English noble men and women in the middle ages and the concept of ideal man and woman on a distinction between historical education tradition,so the image of the nobleman and the noble woman will be respectively set forth.During the middle ages,Britain mainly cultivated the noble men as military loyal and brave knights,while the noble women valued their roles in the family.Different training objectives have resulted in different education modes and contents.The second chapter mainly discusses the education of the son of nobles,It will be summarized from four aspects:the religious morality education,the knowledge culture education,the social etiquette education and the knight skills education.Among them,the knight skill education has the most medieval color in English noble man's education.The third chapter mainly discusses the education of the noblewomen.Education in the first three aspects is the same as the education of the noble men,but it is also different due to the gender difference,the last aspect is the housekeeping skills education,which is also the most valued education content in British aristocratic women's education during the middle ages.The concluding part summarizes the full text,overall characteristics of English education in the middle ages,and to illustrate the impact of the medieval aristocracy education on modern education and the significance of the legacy of the aristocracy.
