As the research in the field of followership—leadership continues to deepen and to expand,the implicit followership theories(IFTs)comes to emerge.As an implicit cognition of individuals,it influences the individual's behavior and attitude.Therefore,in order to enrich the theoretical system of the relationship between IFTs and work performance,this paper has reviewed previous research and introduce the Big-Five personality as regulated variables to examine the relationship between IFTs,Big Five personality and work performance.In this study,388 employees were chosen as research objects,and the data was collected by using questionnaires.Spss24.0 and process plug-in were used as the way to statistic that verify the influence of IFTs and Big Five personality on work performance and the role of personality traits in regulating the relationship between employees' IFTs and work performance.Research shows that Followership Prototype have a significant positive effect on job performance,and Followership Antiprototype have a significant negative effect on job performance.The five personality dimensions have a significant positive effect on work performance.Meanwhile,extraversion,conscientiousness,and openness play a regulatory role in the relationship between Followership Prototype and task performance;neuroticism and openness play a regulatory role in the relationship between Followership Antiprototype and relational performance;extraversion and openness regulated the relationship between Antiprototype and task performance.This research also countermeasures and suggests for the company to improve employee performance.
