Manipulation And Anti-manipulation

As one of the important schools of western Marxism,the mass culture criticism of the Frankfurt school is focused on the cultural industry.This is the cultural reflection and criticism on the development of western capitalist society to a certain stage.This paper focuses on Frankfurt school's critical theory of mass culture in the first generation of Frankfurt school: Horkheimer Max(1895-1973)and Adorno Theoder Wiesengrund(1903-1969).As pioneer of the critical theory of mass culture,Horkheimer and Adonno's cultural industrial theory is concentrated in the ‘enlightenment dialectics'.Horkheimer and Adorno believe that the mass culture of contemporary capitalist society is characterized by typical cultural industry,and the mass cultural products produced by it have the characteristics of standardization,homogenization and pseudo-personality,while capitalism,through the form of cultural industry,has infiltrated capitalist ideology into popular culture,successfully manipulating and controlling the public.It analyze that manipulation of the basketball industry in the form of case analysis,studies the manipulation of the public by the culture of the basketball industry,and the public's process of counter manipulation by internal countermeasure and external confrontation,and reflects the critical theory of mass culture of Frankfurt school.And the current state of our country is in the form of the cultural industry,in the form of the cultural industry,to incorporate the core values of socialism into the popular culture and to think about it.
