In 819-843 AD,Judith of Bavaria was the throne who was the queen of the Carolingian Empire,the second wife of Louis the Pious(778-840)who was the third Emperor of the Carolingian and mother of Charles the Bald.Judith's life was ups and downs full of legendary colors.Judith was an important queen in the early medieval history.She helped Louis not only deal with court affairs,but also struggle for her son to inherit Empire rights,striving to build a political network at every step.Although the Franco-Empire fell apart in the end,it succeeded in helping Charles the Bald obtain empire inheritance.Judith was historically defined as an ‘evil woman'.People believed that she had manipulated Louis the Pious with the weak and merciful personality of the devout Louis the Pious,and allowed Louis to plot the territory for his son,Charles the Bald.Moreover,it led to the imperial war chaos under the rule of devout Louis in the late and final collapse of the Frankish Empire.This article takes Judith as the center and attempts to comprehensively present Judith from the perspective of a woman,a mother,a queen and a politician.This article tries to explain Judith's queen career from four parts: The first part mainly introduces the life of Judith.The second part describes the politics background of Louis marriage and from the view of women and imperial power to show Judith as the Queen's main court activities.The third part mainly describes the main political acts of Judith in the rebellions in 830 and 833,the two rebellions of the empire had a profound influence on Judith.The fourth part of the article illustrates the power of a mother against patriarchal society with his own.The conclusion part summarizes the full text,mainly through Judith's life to see the fate of the European medieval aristocrat women and the description of Judith to explore her strong inner and tenacious character,we can see that women under the rule of patriarch struggled with their courage and strength of the indomitable.
