A Study On The Spatial Prepositions In Mengcheng Dialect

There are many ways and means to express space and spatial relations in each language,and the factors involved are more complex,including nouns of locality,prepositions,verbs,tendency verbs,and places.Chinese prepositions have an important role to play in the expression of space,and spatial prepositions are the main way to express the spatial concept of Chinese prepositions.At present,the research on Mandarin space prepositions has made rich achievements,but the research results of dialect spatial prepositions are not significant.There are many differences between dialect prepositions and Mandarin prepositions in quantity,usage and category,and dialect prepositions have different usage and characteristics from Mandarin prepositions.This paper chooses the space preposition of Anhui Mengcheng dialect,which belongs to Central Plains Mandarin and Jianghuai Mandarin,as the research object,takes the theory of structuralism linguistics and cognitive functional linguistics as the guide,starts from the Mengcheng dialect space preposition,and begins with the meaning of the origin of Mengcheng dialect,the end meaning,the righteousness,The distribution of spatial prepositions such as distance semantics,the description and analysis of word order,looming,structure and collocation characteristics,explores the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic functions of spatial prepositions in Mengcheng dialect,traces the development of space prepositions in some Mengcheng dialects,and excavates the cognitive relationship and cognitive mechanism of spatial prepositions and spatial categories in Mengcheng dialect,This paper reveals the typology of spatial prepositions in Mengcheng dialect in order to provide new dialect materials for the study of modern Chinese grammar and enrich the research contents of modern Chinese grammar.In addition to the preface and conclusion,there are six chapters.The introduction part expounds the background and significance of this thesis,sums up the research results of predecessors,and explains the research aim,research method and corpus source of this paper.The text of the thesis includes the first chapter,the second chapter,the third chapter,the fourth chapter,the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter.The first chapter mainly introduces the concept of space: space category,spatial preposition,spatial relation,and explains the form of space category,the classification of spatial prepositions,spatial relations and the relationship between prepositions.The second chapter describes and classifies the preposition system of Mengcheng dialect,and compares Mengcheng dialect preposition with Mandarin preposition.According to the difference of semantics and function,the spatial prepositions of Mengcheng dialect are divided into starting prepositions: From,playing,from(playing),to pressure,starting(Qi),walking,from,from,starting,and so on;the end preposition: To,resting,in,changing,waiting,touching,hurrying,etc.by means of a preposition: through,through,along,along,Shun,follow,pass,etc;distance from a preposition: Distance,insulation(GE)and so on.The third chapter analyzes the preposition of the Mengcheng dialect's beginning space.Taking the most representative preposition "pressure" in Mengcheng dialect as an example,this paper analyzes the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic functions of the preposition in the beginning space of Mengcheng dialect.This chapter analyzes the object characteristics of "NP" preposition structure and its syntactic composition,the structural meaning of the preposition structure of "pressure NP",and explains the differences between different people on the spatial meaning of the prepositional preposition.The fourth chapter probes into the preposition of the end-meaning space of Mengcheng dialect.This paper focuses on the characteristics of preposition "shelving" in Mengcheng dialect,starting with several structural forms of "put NP","+NP+VP" and "+NP+SP",and describes the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic functions of prepositional preposition structure.This paper analyzes the object characteristics of preposition structure of "put NP",the syntactic component of "put NP" preposition structure,and the pragmatic function of "put NP",to analyze the characteristics and functions of the end-meaning preposition of Mengcheng dialect.The fifth chapter examines the Mengcheng dialect through the semantic space preposition.This paper expounds that people choose different kinds of prepositions through semantic space to reflect the diversity of people's choice of path route,which is mainly embodied in two aspects: one is the choice of specific route,the other is the choice of connection starting point and end point mode.In the Mengcheng dialect,the typical preposition has "jing,along" and so on,this chapter describes,analyzes and discusses the meaning and function of "Jing,along" in the dialect.The sixth chapter probes into the preposition of Mengcheng dialect from the semantic space.Taking the Mengcheng dialect as an example,the paper describes the form characteristics of prepositional structure "separated by +(noun)+ quantity structure",as well as the syntactic and pragmatic functions of prepositional structure in sentence.It is considered that the structure of "isolated NP" is restricted by discourse,because the spatial preposition is not as independent as other prepositions,other prepositions can depend on themselves to clarify the relationship between the focus object and the spatial background of the space frame,and the ability of preposition structure "separating NP" must depend on the concrete context.The conclusion part summarizes the research results of this paper,and points out the shortcomings of the research and the direction of future efforts.
