National opera The Wave Still as Past,as the first large-scale anti-Japanese national opera in Yunnan,was elaborately choreographed by Yunnan Qujin Normal College with the cooperation of provincial famous screenwriters,composers,directors,singers and more than one hundred and forty teachers and students to commemorate the 70 th anniversary of the victory of the China's anti-fascism and anti-Japanese war.Considering the lyricist of China's hundred-year-long classic antiJapanese song On the Taihang Mountain,Gui Taosheng,as the prototype,this opera reappears the solemn and stirring situations of anti-Japanese war by these six scenes----Preface Songs,School Songs,Solemn Songs,Folk Songs,Odes,Paeans in the creation way of crossing time and space,and the great spirit of Chinese nation to unflaggingly fight for freedom and independence was also reappeared in this opera.Through analyzing the part of vocal music part in national opera The Wave Still as Past,the author makes research and analysis about the expression forms and stylistics features in it.This thesis is divided into three parts,the previous two parts mainly summarize the music expression forms in this opera and selectively analyze the promoting effects of the vocal music forms in this opera towards the story line,moreover,the research of the value of this opera is made in the third part of this thesis.
