The Study Of The Translation Of Images In Yeats' Poems-

Yeats' poems were introduced into China at the beginning of 20th century.There were collections of his poems published after 1978.Based on the comparative studies of the versions of Yuan Kejia,Fu Hao and Qiu Xiaolong,This study dicusses the different aesthetic features of images and the challenges created by those features.The study tried to establish a framework with three aspects of images' features and made in-depth analysis with constructive advice.Firstly,the study divides the forms of images'arrangement into consistency and combination.The images organized in consistency are correlated in short range or remote.The forms of combination include winding structure,overlaying structure and blending structure.Therefore,the translation should focus on the various connection structured by images.Secondly,images of Yeat's poems express his ideas of literature and philosophy.According to the functions of involving different contents,the study divides images into three types,i.e.emotion,culture and metaphor.The study analyses the different meanings hidden behind those images and states that translators should recognize the hidden meanings and find a euphemistic and winding way to reappear in translation.Thirdly,the study analyses the double aesthetic effect of meaning and rhyme created by images.The study mainly dicusses the images with rhyme formed in internal or attached in end.Although the rhyme of images makes challenges to translation,there is still valuable to pursue the special aesthetic charm.Through the contrastive analysis of examples among different versions,This paper proposes feasible approaches and systematic framework to recognize and handle the translation difficulties which stem from three types of images' features.
