The Method And The Way:A Study For Heidegger's Thought Of The Formal Indication

The formal indication is a thought method formed by Heidegger in his early Freiburg epoch.As a method,“the formal indication” basically gets through the way of thinking of Heidegger from the standpoint of “the thinking of Being”.How can it be possible? Under this general question,there are three sub questions in turn: 1.What is the whole structure of the question of “Being” that constitutes Heidegger's way of thinking? 2.How does the formal indication get through the way and even become the way itself? 3.How does the formal indication unclose itself in Heidegger's way of thinking? These three sub questions would be present in turn,and the third question constitutes the basic vein of this thesis.First of all,what is the whole structure of the question of Being? The answer to this question is that,From the Standpoint of Heidegger,the question of “Being” could be wholly apprehended with the question of “the meaning or truth of Being”(the core question),the question of “the relation between Being and human”(the fundamental question)and the question of “the ontological difference”(the dominant question),which are indispensable and forms the “question situation” to understand the “the formal indication”.Then,How does the formal indication get through the way and even become the way itself? The answer to this question is to clarify the essential meaning of “the formal indication”.The essential meaning of “the formal indication” is the dual connotation of “ontological difference” and “the relation between Being and human”.Only on the basis of this clarification and grasp above,the formal indication would produce the effects of its thought and continue to promote the deepening and expansion of the way of Heidegger's thought.Finally,how does the formal indication unclose itself in Heidegger's way ofthinking? The unclosing of the formal indication on the way of thought is carried out through the formal-indicated analysis of the four critical “way signs”,such as “ the life of factuality”,“Dasein”,“the thought turning” and “enowning”.The practice of this analysis first lies in naturally apprehending the “the formal indication” as “the relation between Being and human”.This is not the suspension of “the ontological difference”,on account of that if there is no introduction of “the ontological difference”(the differentiation between Being and beings),we would not lead to “the relation between Being and human” and break away with the predicament of “the relation between human and beings”.Therefore,in a sense,the formal indicating to the “way signs” of the way of thought is essentially to illuminate the meaning of the“relation Being between and human” on the “way signs”.By unclosing and dealing with the above three questions in turn,“the method is the way”,Heidegger's overall criticism of his thought way in his overall life,whose thought connotations reveal itself by the line of “the formal indication”.The interpretation for “the way signs” of Heidegger's way of thinking through the method of “the formal indication” not only provides us a method to enter into the “thought of Being”,but also provides a new possibility for us to further reunderstand the Eastern thought of the foreign countries.
