New Media Art:realizing Artistic Interactivity Through Nonlinear Narrative

Narrative is an important means of the media.The development of the media has brought about the diversification of the art.The rise of new media has promoted the nonlinear narrative to gradually become the main form of the new media narrative.This paper analyzes the structure and characteristics of non-linear narratives,the characteristics of artistic interactivity,and the analysis of the intermediate relationship between them,and then discusses the role of non-linear narratives in interactive art.Starting from examples,this article analyzes the role of non-linear narrative in the art of telepresence and long-distance communication art,virtual reality art,and digital graphics.Finally,it points out that the immutable writing rules and order of traditional art languages will be reflected by non-linear art.The techniques have been rewritten,and the new media,under the non-linear way of thinking and the creation of narrative techniques,will have a new look.
