In the second language learning,vocabulary learning has always played an important role in the whole learning process.Based on the students' oral productive vocabulary,this paper studies the knowledge based on the size of vocabulary.In this paper,29 international students in intermediate level are studied.The number of students is not very large,so we use the method of direct analysis to analyze students' oral output.This paper mainly studies the lexical accuracy,word frequency range,lexical diversity and lexical complexity of lexical breadth knowledge.By transcribing the speech material,using statistical analysis software,Excel,SPSS.22 and other software to conduct horizontal and vertical comparison of experimental data.After obtaining the data of the size of words,the relationship between the data and the test speech scores was compared and analyzed.The experimental results showed that the accuracy rate of the 29 subjects was higher than 80%,the usage rate of the first class was very high,and the utilization rate of the 19 subjects was more than 90%.The subject is too dependent on class a and tends to express it in simple terms.It is also the reason that the use of intermediate and advanced words in the spoken language is low and the lexical complexity is low.The diversity of vocabulary is mostly concentrated in the 20-60 level,with an average of 36.35.Combined with the students' oral performance,the two-tailed correlation analysis,the word accuracy and the oral performance did not have a significant correlation.In terms of word frequency range,the higher the proportion of grade words in the primary word(class a),the lower the student's oral test scores.There is no significant correlation between the degree of use of intermediate words(grade b)and oral performance.And the higher the proportion of advanced words,including c,d,and superclass,the higher the students' oral test scores.Both lexical complexity and lexical diversity have a positive correlation with verbal scores.Among them,the correlation between vocabulary complexity and oral performance is greater.At last,based on the conclusions of this study,this paper puts forward some suggestions on teaching Chinese as a foreign language from three aspects: "teaching","learning" and "teaching materials".
