The Shanbei Yangko Opera Woman in Mizhi and Man in Suide has been highly praised by both the audience and music experts since its performance in 2008.This opera is about a love story of two young lovers in Shanbei and it has a strong local style and shown people the unique musical characteristics in Shanbei.People are attracted by the rough and energetic music in Shanbei again. In this Yangko opera,by the adaption and innovation of traditional Shanbei Xintianyou the composer has added to the brilliance of Xintianyou which has been shown by the singing parts of the hero Shiwa(who has been played by Wang Hongwei in the opera).Shiwa is a stonemason in Suide and he sings very well.In the opera, the rise and fall and interval of his singing parts have a very large span. The multiple high pitches in his parts are a huge challenge for most singers. Many techniques are required to play this character in the opera. For example, the actor needs to have a resonant and penetrating voice and also needs to know pretty well about the characteristics of the hero Shiwa. All these has a great research value for professional music learners. This thesis has tried to do an overall and deep research by analyzing Shiwa's singing parts,Wang Hongwei's way of singing and his stage performance. Finally, this thesis will conclude the methods and experience which can be used to sing other similar Shanbei musical works and provide a referential meaning for other singers.
