Chinese Contemporary Expressive Oil Painting Art Language To Explore The Scenery

The paper is meant to explore the different artistic languages involved in the Chinese artistic works,and the roles which played in supporting the themes,by means of the study of the artistic languages displayed in contemporary expressive Chinese painting landscapes.My study focuses on the three aspects of the artistic languages,modelling language,colour language and language of space,which will be done together with certain case study.The paper consists of three parts.The first part is about the background story of contemporary expressive Chinese scenery of oil painting,the time and its cultural background,together with an analysis of how the artistic languages were developed,the sources of relevant theories and its current condition of its development.The second part explores mainly about Chinese contemporary landscape art and its expressive methods in painting,together with come case studies of the representative painters from different schools with their specific understanding in using modelling language,colour language and language of space in their painting.By doing so,I try to explore the different tendency of development in their painting,its contents,and try to interpret the thoughts,methods and the style of the artistic languages applied in their works properly.The third part is the conclusive part of the paper in which an overview of Chinese contemporary expressive art language is stated from the perspective of the western modern art and its influences on Chinese traditional culture,to illustrate that the development tendency of contemporary Chinese expressive oil painting landscape is following more in the direction of the localization and nationalization.The artistic languages employed in contemporary Chinese expressive oil painting cover a wide range and have a tendency to develop into many special styles,which means different artistic language forms can be used to serve different aims of painting creation.There is no limit for its creative thoughts and the exploration.By means of the study of artistic language used by different artists I have achieved a lot by understanding the style,the content,different thoughts in the era,and also a lot on how to use the unique art language of my own to represent my understanding of contemporary Chinese oil painting,involving with more elements from traditional Chinese culture,which I believe is a way to contribute my share to the development of Chinese contemporary landscape art of expressive painting language.At the same time,by the efforts in the study,I hope to be more clear about what do to in my future creative painting works theoretically and practically.
