A Study Of Mudan's Poems From A Taxology Perspective

Research on the classification of poetry has existed for a long time,but it has been despised since the modern times.Especially in the study of modern Chinese poetry,the study of classification for a poet's poems is quite rare.It also makes the classification research of modern Chinese poetry to a very challenging and attractive field.This paper attempts to study Mudan's poems with the background of poetry taxology,in order to test the possibility of using poetry taxology to study modern Chinese poetry,and to use poetry taxology to advance Mudan's poetry research and even the entire modern Chinese poetry study.The introduction of this paper contains three aspects.First,this chapter reviews the concept of taxology.Taxology means taxonomy,which is the process of naming and classifying things such as animals and plants into groups within a larger system,according to their similarities and differences.Which can help scholars trace their origins and make horizontal comparisons when conducting biological research.In traditional literary studies,taxology methods are also used.And classical Chinese Poetry are no exception.Afterwards,the historical origins and application prospects of poetry taxology in Chinese and foreign poetry history are expounded,and the reasons why poetry taxology is neglected in the study of modern Chinese poetry are analyzed.Finally,the status quo of Mudan's classification of poems is expounded.The first chapter of this paper discusses the formal art of Mudan's poems.The form of poetry is the carrier of poetry content.It provides space for the extension of poetry content.The construction of poetry form is accomplished by various elements,such as the arrangement of rhyme feet and the use of virtual words.Mudan's collection of these elements to deal with the form of poetry is an art and the secret of his creation.To classify and study poems is actually to try to analyze this kind of art.As for Mudan's more than 100 existing poems,the formal arts can be divided into three aspects: body style,structure and rhyme.Through a detailed analysis of all aspects of these three elements,we further conclude that: In Mudan's creation of poetry,few poems in the form use what we call “the metrical body”;and in the broad space of “free body”,a variety of styles have been developed that are rich and varied.This not only sums up the achievements of Mudan's poetry form art,but also provides an important supplement to the understanding of Mudan's poetry form through the analysis of formal types.The second chapter of this paper mainly uses poetry content theme and imagery as classification basis,and interprets Mudan's poetry by artistic classification.First of all,the subject matter as classification criteria,Mudan's poems are divided into two major categories of documentary and consciousness,and they are divided into many small categories.Here,the main conclusion is that the most commonly used and has a large proportion of subject categories in his poetry.Then the type of images of Mudan's poems are differentiated.The theme is for the entire poem,and imagery is just a word or phrase in the poem that represents something.Therefore,it is different from the overall classification of subject matter.Image classification research adopts sampled classification analysis.Through the classification,to finds the intertextual relationship of Mudan's poems which between the subject matter,theme and imagery.By the way,reveals The phenomenon of community under poetic imagination of Mudan's poetry.The third chapter of the paper mainly discusses the significance of Mudan's poetry classification study,and also discusses the limitations of poetry's general dichotomy method used in Mudan's poetry classification study.The limitations of the dichotomy of poetry discussed in this chapter for Mudan's classification of poetry is actually one of the meanings of Mudan's classification of poetry.Then the significance of the classification of Mudan's poetry is discussed in two aspects: First,in terms of Mudan's poetry study,the classification and processing can reveal the laws and tendencies of Mudan's poetry,and then grasp the Mudan's uniqueness and significance of creation in an organized network structure;Second,for the study of modern Chinese poetry,through the effective interpretation of Mudan's creation by taxology,the possibility of taxology for methodological research of modern Chinese poetry is demonstrated.
