The mirror is an important image in the creation of Chinese classical literature.The ancient famous writers and scholars were creating this image in the past dynasties have great originality of mental mood.Tabled by “Ba Mirror”,“ Fu Mirror”,“Gan Mirror”,“Qing Mirror”,“Qin Mirror”,“Magpie Mirror”,“Gold Mirror","Coloured Glaze Mirror”......whose construction of these image nouns is entirely to show love and favor on the “Mirror” that those famous writers and scholars.It can be clearly found that a large volume of literary works on the “Mirror" image appeared frequency in the Tang dynasty.In the process of carding,analysis and interpretation for these images,the author believed that that scholars of Tang dynasty were exceedingly interpreting the “Mirror”,not just on a whim and without thinking of her all,but embodying the profound connotations,or expressing national rise and fall of a rocky road,suffering many a setback during one's life,or exposing the moral principles were decaying and the age-old malpractice of social mode,or describing the individual emotion and the expectation of our common people...In short,the Mirror image can always be subtly reflected in the chanting works of the scholars.So it can be considered the fashion of “Chanting Mirror” in this period as the prevailing custom of“Chanting Mirror”.The fashion is the literary interpretation of scholars in the condition of internal and external environment.Consequently,the analysis and interpretation for its source,type,cause and effect will become a new perspective and the new trend of literary study in the old topic the Tang scholars studied.The first chapter: the origin of the fashion of “Chanting Mirror”: it will make a systematic and careful carding and interpretation for the formation of the fashion of“Chanting Mirror”from these two aspects: the name and source of the “Mirror”;and from the utensil-“Mirror” itself to the derivation of the literary image “Mirror”.The second chapter: the type of the fashion of “Chanting Mirror”: it will divide the fashion of “Chanting Mirror” into two aspects-taking advantage of mental mind into the mirror and taking advantage of the mirror into express one's mental emotion.This chapter selects the typical works from scholars of Tang dynasty,interpreting thescholars show the emotion,personality and mentality for chanting the “Mirror”.The third chapter: the cause of the fashion of “Chanting Mirror”: It will profoundly analyze from those three aspects: the change of the national fortune in the Tang dynasty,the creative penetration in-depth and worldly and the practice in mentality and consciousness.It revealed the different mentalities of Tang scholars under the influence of those three dimensionalities,and interpreted the “Chanting Mirror” from all sorts of mentality dominated in order to achieve the integral harmony from object,person and works.At the same time,it will disclose its far-reaching social& historical reality and underlying complex human nature.The fourth chapter: the significance of the fashion of “Chanting Mirror”: it will analyze and interpret the meaning of “Chanting Mirror” from Tang scholars,and discuss the social reality and aesthetic pursuit of Tang scholars underlying the fashion.Simultaneously,it will aim to the whole history of Chinese literature since the Tang dynasty,and analyze the inheritance and the new change of the fashion of “Chanting Mirror” in the process of era development,exploring its significance and value in the process.
