As a term that best represents the distance view of Chinese classical aesthetics,“Yuan” is an aesthetic category with national characteristics in the history of Chinese classical aesthetics,and it forms a rich and multi-layered aesthetic connotation on the basis of distance perception.This paper adopts a combination of historical and logical research methods,and carries out concrete,in-depth and unique research on the aesthetic connotation of “Yuan” from the perspective of ontology,and tries to make up for the lack of research on “Yuan” aesthetic distance in the history of Chinese classical aesthetics.The layout of the framework of this article is reasonable.Based on the aesthetic connotation of the distance concept of “Yuan”,it is fully discussed from the macro and micro perspectives.First of all,this article starts from the meaning of the word“Yuan” and explores the aesthetic implication of “Yuan” in the perspective of distance.From the perspective of history,this paper discusses the “Yuan” concept of distance in the four pre-Qin,Wei and Jin,Tang and Song,Ming and Qing dynasties.From the perspective of philosophical thinking,social culture,and aesthetic psychology,the aesthetic performance of the period traces the origin of the “Yuan” aesthetic distance perspective.Secondly,from the three perspectives of natural distance,psychological distance and the relationship between “Yuan” and artistic life,the relationship between “Yuan” as aesthetic distance perspective and time and space is discussed.Moreover,from the perspectives of space art and time art,three representational arts of painting,garden,and poetry are selected to explore the expression of “Yuan” aesthetic connotation in these art forms.Finally,the author explores the theoretical value and modern significance of“Yuan” in the history of Chinese classical aesthetics.This article makes a comparatively comprehensive and concrete exposition on the aesthetic connotation of “Yuan” from a novel and unique research perspective,which helps us understand the aesthetic connotation of Chinese classical culture,enrich the category content of Chinese classical aesthetics,and perfect the theoretical system of Chinese classical aesthetics.
