Cao zhi's “Goddess of the Luo River” spread widely during many centuries since it was created,because of the touching story plot,rhetoric,vivid characters.The artists of the past dynasties had their own feelings about it,often taking it as theme and drawing it.Untill the Qianlong era,there are several different versions of Gu's painting scroll "Goddess of the Luo River" in the palace,which was appreciated by the emperor deeply.Therefore,in order to express his own insight of this artwork,the emperor,Qianlong,ordered the court painter Ding Guanpeng to creat "copy of Goddess of the Luo River" volume.This essay took the picture as the research objectives and combined with the "Shiqu Baoji","the Qing Dynasty imperial palace archives" as well as other information to explore the following problems: the life of Ding Guanpeng and status of his painting life;the creation background of Ding Guanpeng "imitation Goddess of the Luo River" and artistic characteristics;hidden meaning of the birth of Ding Guanpeng "imitation Goddess of the Luo River".The paper was divided into six chapters.The first chapter mainly summarized the literature review of ding guanpeng's painting of imitation Goddess of the Luo River.However,few people took it as a case study,which gave some space for this study.The second chapter firstly introduced the writing background of Cao Zhi's "Goddess of the Luo River",and analyzed the literary value of Cao Zhi's "Goddess of the Luo River" from the aspects of rhyme,vocabulary and writing structure.Then,the information about gu kaizhi's painting of the goddess of luoshen written in the past dynasties was analyzed.The third chapter explored the system of palace painting in the Qianlong period,the general situation of the imitation and imitation of the painting academy.It was concluded that the palace painters in the Qianlong period were divided into three grades.Ding Guanpeng was a first class painter who was deeply appreciated by the emperor.In the court,the painter's creation mainly came from the order of the emperor,and the painter was in a passive position.The fourth chapter introduced the creation background of ding guopeng's copying,the stably social and political status in the initial stage of qianlong's copy,and the inflow of western techniques and worship of the ancient style from Qianlong.All these factors laid the foundation for the creation of copying.The fifth chapter explored the artistic features of Ding Guanpeng's copy,focusing on the description of the composition,layout,painting skills and the use of traditional schemata.Chapter six researched the meaning behind the birth of the copy of ding guanpeng,which was obviously the expression of the emperor's aesthetic thoughts.The classic female subject was paid attention by Qianlong,and he had his owm ideas about the image of "Goddess of the Luo River".The textual research of the painting of "imitatation Goddess of the Luo River" showed his excellent and steady ability of identification.At the same time,the painting of "imitation Goddess of the Luo River" painted by ding guanpeng was also an important embodiment of the new style of the court figure painting in the early period of qianlong era,which also influenced later development of court figure painting in Qing dynasty.
