The Expression And Imagination Of Female Body Symbols In Xiao Hong's Novels

In the historical perspective of Xiao Hong's literature,“body” is the core point of view,it has been tracing the development of narration,all the suffering of life is presented as “flesh and blood” survival difficulties.The hurt to the female bodies by the local space,the oppression of male to social space of female,and the horrible killings have constituted the unique connotation of Xiao Hong's novels in the view of “body” symbols.This thesis concentrates on the analysis of the category of feminist body theory by emphasizing on the particular parts of female body.It focuses on the unique charm and value of writings in Xiao Hong's novels,and combines Lu Xun's local criticism together with Shen Congwen's poetic pastoral space,to reveal the unique charm of Xiao Hong's novels.This paper is mainly composed of three parts.The first part states the relationship between female body symbol and the local space.The imperfect body and the beautiful body respectively correspond to different local spaces.They all point to the female body and cause damages to the female body.The second part compares Xiao Hong,Lu Xun and Shen Congwen's criticism,revealing the oppression of women's social space in the agricultural society and the love and hate of the novelists from the perspective of the female body's narration.The third part is the social and historical significance of Xiao Hong's female body narrative in contemporary social and cultural context,as well as Xiao Hong's “female body-local space” tragedy aesthetics to the development of modern literature.
