| This paper uses the new VN-style words from the 7th edition of the Modern Chinese Dictionary compared with the 5th edition as the research object,and attempts to explain the mechanism of semantic generation of the VN-style words using the concept integration theory.Using the theory of conceptual integration can provide a new perspective for the study of VN-style words,and it can also explain that the theory has strong explanatory power.In this dissertation,it is found that VN-style words whose compositional semantics are easy to understand can use simple networks to explain their meaning construction process;VN-style words that have similar semantic relations between components can be constructed using mirror-type networks;The meaning of a word is derived from the constituent elements or is provided by a part of the constituent elements to understand the semantic characteristics.It can be explained by the single domain type;The VN formulas that make up the component literals without any connection or semantic conflict can be constructed using a dual domain model.In addition,By comparing the level of integration and the type of integration,in general,as the degree of integration increases,the number of words in a simple type of integration decreases,whereas the number of words in a complex type of integration increases,but there are exceptions.This thesis consists of six parts.The first chapter explains the feasibility and significance of this study from the aspects of research scope,significance of topics,etc.It mainly introduces the research status of VN-style words and concepts integration theory.The second chapter mainly selects the object of this article through the definition of morpheme properties and describes it from two aspects: part of speech and structure.The third chapter introduces the related theories of conceptual integration,and emphasizes the theory’s explanatory power in the construction of word meanings,which lays a theoretical foundation for constructing the semantics of VN-style words.Chapter IV divides VN-style words into four levels from the integration level: low integration,second-lowest integration,second-highest integration,and high integration.The fifth chapter analyzes the integration mechanism of VN-style words from the aspect of integration type,and selects typical word-making semantics to build a network diagram;according to the integration distribution situation,it tries to discover the internal relationship between integration degree and integration type.The sixth chapter is a summary of this article and points out the shortcomings of the study. |
