With the improvement of China's international status and its influence on international stage,overseas Chinese education programs are flourishing.The relationship of Africa and China is increasing these years.Overseas Chinese education plays a significant role not only in the inheritance but also in every aspect's development between Africa and China.However,due to its limitations of overseas Chinese education and objective conditions,the education level in different areas are developed unevenly.In addition,teaching methods of Chinese language in Africa are still in traditional ways,for beginning learners of Chinese,they usually give up in the middle of way.The first chapter is the introduction part,expounding the meaning of the topic,the research status and the content framework of the paper and the research methods used.The second chapter investigates the basic situation of the Confucius Institute at the University of Botswana in Africa.The basic situation includes the situation of teachers and learners,curriculum settings,use of teaching materials,cultural experience activities and so on.Through the research of the Confucius Institute,the basic situation of the overseas Chinese teaching environment and teaching mode is understood.According to the actual situation of Confucius Institute and the experiential teaching method,the necessity of applying the teaching method to the primary Chinese classroom of Confucius Institute at the University of Botswana.In the third chapter of this thesis,two teaching designs are made according to the actual situation of the Confucius Institute at the University of Botswana in Africa.The teaching design and the traditional teaching method are designed for the experiential teaching method.The teaching implementation and comparison are carried out in two classes of the same level.And do a good job in classroom teaching observations and after-school interviews and tests.There are significant differences in the effectiveness of the two teaching methods applied to the classroom.The fourth chapter summarize the advantages and problems that the experiential teaching method applies to the primary Chinese classroom of the Confucius Institute at the University of Botswana,and contribute to the exploration and study of the primary Chinese classroom teaching model in Africa.The fifth chapters is conclusion.Summarize the main points of this paper,as well as the shortcomings and prospects of the research.
