The motion trajectory is a meaningful and informative clue for humans to characterize the object's motion,so it is very important to build an effective internal trajectory representation model.There are exist many kinds of motions in reality,and different motions have their unique trajectories.However,the existing research on motion trajectory is still limited to the original trajectory data,lacking effective trajectory descriptions to construct an effective trajectory perception model.At the same time,the physics formula of the trajectory does not equal to the human perception,and the physical variables would have an impact on the internal trajectory model,but this effect have not been systematically investigated.Therefore,the study of internal trajectory model can better explore the perceptual pattern of realistic physics variables,and provide an important theoretical basis for constructing a complete traj ectory representation model and understanding the internalization characteristics of variables.This study explored the construction of internal trajectory models using the research paradigm of representational momentum.The formulation of complex trajectories and the decomposability of representational momentum were the theoretical basis of the whole study.We designed different trajectories to characterize the internal trajectory.Former studies had fully explored the representational momentum effect using linear motions and circular motions,but had not investigated the complex motions.In order to reveal the human perception of motion trajectory,we first conduted an experiment of the small ball moving along a sinusoidal trajectory.The sinusoidal motion was constructed by the horizontal uniform motion and the vertical variable speed motion to discuss the effect of acceleration on the representational momentum.We found that the displacement increased with the increasing of acceleration.Horizontal and vertical accelerations had a significant effect on the representational momentum.But since the horizontal acceleration in the sinusoidal motion was zero,we could not compare the effect under this circumstance.Therefore,the second experment investigated the influence of acceleration's directionality on the representational momentum through the straight-line harmonic motion moving in the horizontal and vertical directions respectively.We found that the horizontal motion displacement was bigger than the vertical motion,and we also proved the existence of the representational gravity.During the evolution process,humans were more likely to see free fall,parabola motions,etc.Therefore,the third experiment used a more ecological parabola motion to study the influence of trajectory characteristics on the representational momentum under stable acceleration.In the end,we revealed the effect of physical variable on expected trajectory perception and verified the existence of representational gravity,then discussed the establishment of internal trajectory perception model.
