Consciousness is a hot topic in psychology study, and the existence of unconscious processing is also a research hotspot in the exploration of human perception processing.However.there is controversy about the existence of unconscious semantic processing, and the influences of unconscious semantic processing are also the focus of unconscious processinsIn this study,we investigated the following questions of unconscious semantic processing:(1)Is there bottom-up unconscious semantic processing induced by continuous flash suppression(CFS)paradigm?(2)If so,whether the strength of stimulus mediate the unconscious semantic processing?(3)How do bottom-up stimulus strength and top-down subjective perception modulate unconscious semantic processing?Through a serious of three experiments,we discovered that:(1)There is bottom-up unconscious semantic processing induced by continuous flash suppression paradigm.(2)Unconscious semantic information processing caused by bottom-up stimulus occurs only when the stimulus strength reaches a certain intensity.(3)It differs a lot at different stages of the unconscious semantic processing modulated by the top-down subjective perception and the bottom-up experimental stimulus.Semantic processing unconsciously mainly modulated by bottom-up stimulus in higher intensity, and in lower intensity,top-down perception modulates unconscious semantic processins a lot.
