Franz Schubert is the successor of classical music and the pioneer of Romantic music.His contribution to artistic songs is irreplaceable,and he is also the pioneer of the new era of artistic songs,worthy of the title of "King of artistic songs".In his short life,besides art songs,he also created many other works,such as symphonies and piano music in instrumental music.As an important part of his piano music works,Piano Sonata has high value and significance.His piano creation has the characteristics of both the classical period and the Romantic period.Combining the respective advantages of the two periods,the sonata created has distinct style and Lyric singing.Taking D.664,a piano sonata in A major,which represents Schubert’s mature sonata,as an example,this paper discusses the creative characteristics and performance analysis of Schubert’s Sonata in three chapters.The first chapter begins with the introduction of Schubert’s life,and then introduces his piano sonata creation,as well as the creation time and period of D.664 in A major.The second chapter mainly analyses the three movements of Piano Sonata D.664 in A major,including music,musical form,structure,musical characteristics and performance characteristics.Chapter three summarizes the analysis of Chapter Two,suggesting Schubert’s inheritance of the classical period and his innovation of the Romantic period in sonata creation,as well as the summary of playing methods.Through the analysis of Piano Sonata D.664 in A Major,this paper tries to find out the characteristics of Schubert’s Sonata creation and make contributions to the development of the transition from classical period to Romantic period.
