On Choreography:Expressing Emotions Through Concrete Objects

Express emotions through concrete objects is a common method of Various art creation and it has been widely applying in dancing since the ancient times.The core of express emotions through concrete objects is expressing the author's feelings through common attributes of emotions and objects.Based on the practice of Sunflower,two vie-wpoints are put forward in this paper.First,Express emotions through concrete objects comes from the author's understanding of the common attributes of objects and people.Second,it needs to be better presented through some related artistic techniques,such as symbolism,personification,metaphor,synesthesia,and through a small part of the whole.This essay analyses the different artistic effects brought by objects and emotions accordi-ng to themes,structures,movements and the stage environment to demonstrating my opi-nion,and this essay also analyzes the subtle and diversified application of "token words"in dance creation,which provides more possibilities for dance creation.
