XUN is a Chinese musical instrument with a long history.Initially,it was only used to imitate the sound in the labor process to achieve the purpose of hunting.Later,it gradually evolved into a wind instrument.Because of its own limitations,more and more musicians have devoted themselves to inheritance and innovation in the past eighty years.Under the constant efforts of composers,performers and producers,different forms of distortion have emerged,not only the vocal range is gradually widening,but also the shape is becoming more diverse.Like the general wind instrument,it is focusing on breath,fingers and tongue.Breath refers to the change of sound intensity,such as blowing,etc.Fingers have the technique such as trembling,stacking,and hitting,etc.Tongue technique has the HUA SHE,that’s a special skill in addition to the basic tone.This article takes RULIAN as an example,through a detailed explanation of the technique,which can introduce XUN’s skills characteristics of the performance.
