The Principles Of Clarinet Fingering And Its Application In Practical Performance

In this paper,the author synthesizes some research findings which are from different perspectives on clarinet fingerings.While concerning the basic theory of clarinet fingerings,the author categorizes all the fingerings in different ways and studies each type of them.Referring to essential acoustic knowledge on musical instruments and the evolution of clarinet fingering systems,we focus on the fingerings which are used in practice of performance.Through the inspect of different musical works,we analyse some typical dilemmas on selecting fingerings,and recommend some highly reasonable fingerings in some passages of several repetoire.This article can be generally divided into four parts:The first part introduced the origin of the issue,and its boundary and the present status of studies on clarinet fingerings;in the second part we categorizes clarinet fingerings;in the third part we introduces physics knowledges and history elements that should be considered in these studies,and in the last part we studied some typical scenes in performance practice and discussed how we could select better fingerings reasonably.
