| Objective: The level data of adolescents were used to demonstrate the effect of machiavellianism on relationship aggression,and longitudinal data analysis was used to verify the longitudinal mediating role of empathy and moral disengagement.Methods: random cluster sampling was performed on 541 middle school students from two middle schools in zhengzhou.Using KMS,SDQ,MDS,and BES-C measurements for one year,twice in October 2015(TIME1)and October 2014(TIME2),valid data were collected and collated.SPSS21.0 was used for statistical data analysis,mainly using t test,Pearson correlation analysis,hierarchical regression analysis and mediating effect test and other statistical methods.Result:(1)in the two time periods,the male machiavellianism scores than women,but the difference was not significant,the compassion of a female,cognitive empathy and emotional score higher than the male,the significant difference(p < 0.01),the male moral transcendental scores than women,but the T1 is not significantly different(t =0.66,p > 0.05),T2 significantly different(t = 2.83,p < 0.01);Female relationship aggression score is lower than male,but the difference is not significant.(2)The machiavellianism score of T2 was significantly higher than T1(t =-2.88,p < 0.01).The empathy score of T2 was significantly higher than that of T1(t =-5.46,p < 0.01).The cognitive empathy score of T2 was significantly higher than T1(t =-2.44,p < 0.05).Emotional resonance score was significantly higher than T1(t =-4.42,p < 0.01),while T1's moral detachment score was higher than T2(t = 0.52,p > 0.05),but the difference was not significant(t = 0.02,p < 0.05).The relational attack score of T1 was significantly higher than that of T2(t=2.725,p<0.01).(3)in the girls' group,T1 and T2 were positively correlated with machiavellianism.There was no significant correlation between machiavellian scores and empathy.There is no significant correlation between machiavellianism and empathy,affective empathy and moral detachment.here was a significant positive correlation between moral detachment and relational aggression in T1 andT2.Empathy,cognitive empathy and affective empathy were not significantly correlated with T1 relational aggression.Empathy,cognitive empathy and affective empathy in T1 were not significantly correlated with T2 relational aggression.However,there was a significant negative correlation between T2's empathy,cognitive empathy,emotional empathy and T2's relational aggression.(4)Among male students,machiavellianism is negatively correlated with empathy,cognitive empathy and affective empathy,and positively correlated with moral detachment and relational aggression.The scores of T1,T2 empathy,cognitive empathy and affective empathy were negatively correlated with T2 moral detachment.There was a significant positive correlation between moral detachment and relational aggression in T1 and T2.(5)Cross-lag analysis shows that in both male and female groups,T1 relational aggression significantly predicted T2 machiavellianism.In the male population,T1 moral detachment significantly predicted T2 relational aggression.In the female population,T1 moral detachment did not significantly predict T2 relational aggression.(6)Hierarchical regression analysis and Bootstrap results showed that T1 empathy played a mediating role between T1 machiavellianism and T2 relational aggression,with a mediating effect of 10.3%.T2 empathy mediates between T1 machiavellianism and T2 relational aggression,with a median effect of 13.2%.Moral detachment plays a mediating role between Machiavelli type and relationship attack type,and the mediating effect is 31.2%.T2 moral detachment mediates between T1 machiavellianism and T2 relational aggression,with a mediating effect of 36.1%.Conclusion:(1)An individual who inflicts harm on others by frequently using the means of relational aggression,their level of machiavellianism may also be higher.(2)A male with a high level of machiavellianism,Due to their cognitive andemotional difficulties in understanding the emotions of others,it is easier to manipulate others and deceive others(3)Moral separation may provide psychological premise for men to engage in relational aggression.(4)Machiavellian traits can make more relational aggression.through the function of the sentimental nature and the role of moral disengagement. |
