New?High School English Curriculum Standard? points out: Effective selection and use of strategies are a prerequisite for students‘ independent learning and lifelong learning.Vocabulary learning strategy is an important aspect of English learning strategy,and English achievement is positively correlated with vocabulary.There is much pressure in teaching English in high schools,so how to improve the vocabulary teaching strategy in ordinary high school is particularly urgent.This paper firstly defines the two core concepts of ?learning strategies? and ?vocabulary learning strategies? through literature review.Secondly,problems in vocabulary learning strategies of high school students are found through questionnaires.On the basis of the above,six vocabulary strategy training procedures are designed in this study according to the eight stages of information processing theory.The six training procedures are the framework for experimental research.Then,through the combination of online,offline experimental teaching practice and data analysis,study the effectiveness of vocabulary learning strategy training.Finally,through the investigation and interview of the experimental class,the existing problems and areas for improvement are found.The specific problems of this study are as follows: 1.What is the current situation of English vocabulary strategies of ordinary high school students? 2.Can vocabulary learning strategies based on information processing theory(phonological strategy,affix strategy,root strategy,context strategy,repetition strategy and practice strategy)help students master vocabulary effectively?The findings are as follows: 1.Phonetic strategy,contextual strategy and practice strategy are easily accepted by students,while root strategy is hard to be accepted by ordinary high school students.2.There is huge difference between affix strategy and context strategy in the two classes after the teaching experiment is over,indicating that affix strategy and context strategy can effectively improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning.3.Repeated learning of vocabulary through mobile app is better than memorizing vocabulary without repeated learning.It means repeating the words several times in a certain period of time can help remember the words effectively.To sum up,from the current situation of ordinary high school students in English vocabulary strategy,the training of affix strategy and context strategy has good effect,but the root strategy,repetition strategy and exercise strategy need to be strengthened to have the effect.The phonetic strategy must be strengthened repeatedly in the short term to be really grasped.Based on information processing theory,using online and offline vocabulary learning strategies together can promote students to master the vocabulary,help students consolidate the words through repetition strategy,promote the growth of vocabulary,and improve their vocabulary using ability.This also proves that in the actual teaching,the teacher cannot let the students only recite the vocabulary without timely repetition or consolidation by practice.
