In the Eastern Han Dynasty,Xu Shen initiated 540 radicals to govern 9353 characters.Since then, scholars often refer to 540 radicals when they plan to write Chinese character book. However, the classification of characters in Shuo Wen Jie Zi(Shuo Wen is adopted in the following paragraphs for short)was not completely suitable for the oracle bone radicals in the Yin and Shang dynasties.Based on Tang Lan's natural taxonomy, the book called Jia Gu Wen Zi Bian and writted by Li Zongkun is an authoritative work on oracle-bone inscriptions in the academic at present. The oracle bones radical discussed in the article are mainly based on the oracle bones of Li Zongkun's Jia Gu Wen Zi Bian, and compare with 540 radicals of Shuo Wen.I will use two books as research materials and compare the radicals in the two different books. The article is divided into five parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction is mainly composed of five parts. The first part mainly introduces the concept of radicals. The second part and the third part introduce the current academic research status of the heads of Oracle and the head of Shuo Wen,and classifiy them. The fourth part introduces the research content and research ideas. The fifth part is the description of research significance and research method. There arefive chapters in the body part:The first chapter introduces the radicals of the oracle bones, which is based on Li Zongkun's Jia Gu Wen Zi Bian. This chapter is divided into two sections: The first section introduces the author, the book, and the radicals of the Jia Gu Wen Zi Bian, and analyzes why this book was selected as the target of the oracle radical research. The second section is the introduction of the radicals of Shuo Wen.Analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and values of the radicals of Shuo Wen and re-analyzes the radicals. The second, third, fourth and fifth chapters are the key chapters of this article.First compare and analyze the radicals in the two books of Jia Gu Wen Zi Bian and Shuo Wen,including the number of radicals, the ability to construct words, the characteristics of the fonts, etc. Then summed up the core radicals table from the Yin Shang period to the Han Dynasty,Finally discuss the reasons for the similarities and differences between the heads of Oracle and the Shuo Wen.The conclusion mainly consists of two parts. The first is to summarize the results of the above comparison, that is,the similarity between the number of oracle bone and the radicals of Shuo Wen,and the other is to present the shortcomings in this paper and the effort I need to do in the future.
