With the rapid development of chinese economic construction,our country has higher requirements for the quality of secondary vocational education.Its key depends on the training quality of secondary vocational students.As the new powers,new business English teachers shoulder the important mission to optimize business English classroom teaching in secondary vocational school.Although they have acquired some educational theories,there are still many problems in their classroom teaching due to the lack of teaching experiences and detailedly understanding for the learners' situation.In this study,starting from the narrow sense of teaching,that is,teachers' teaching activities(teachers' teaching activities to cause,maintain and promote students' learning),the research on the possible problems existing in classroom teaching of new business English teachers in secondary vocational schools was carried out.Further,the reasons for these problems were systematically analyzed and the strategies to optimize classroom teaching were put forward.Firstly,L secondary vocational school in L city was selected as the research subject.The research on the current situation of new business English teachers' classroom teaching was performed by the questionnaire method and classroom observation method from four dimensions of teaching objective,teaching content,teaching behavior and teaching effect on the basis of the classrom teaching theories.The data analysis revealed its existing problems as follows: the formalization of teaching objectives' implementation,the inappropriateness of teaching contents' organization,the lack of teaching behaviors' expression and the untimeliness of classroom evaluations' feedback.Next,combining with teachers' interviews,the possible reasons for the above-mentioned problems of new business English teachers' classroom teaching were analyzed and they were presented as follows: the separation of teaching practice from advanced teaching theories,the insufficiency of teaching abilities as well as the lack of teaching experience.Lastly,based on the advanced teaching theories,the improvement strategies were put forward: the combination of teaching practice with advanced teaching theories,the improvement of teaching ability and the accumulation of teaching experience.This study may provide an important guidance for the optimization of new business English teachers' classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools.
